GC Score

One identity, three layers

The GC Score is deliberately NOT a single opaque number. It is three distinct layers, shown separately to you and to employers — each one answering a different question about your career.

Why three layers?

A single score hides more than it reveals: it can't distinguish a polished resume from proven skill, or past achievement from current momentum. So we separate the signal:

LayerAnswersHow it moves
Career Profile Score (0–1000)Where does my profile stand today?Recalculates when you update your profile or resume.
XP (no cap)Am I actually doing the work?Earned per real platform action; 6-month rolling window keeps it current.
BadgesWhich skills are proven?Earned by passing assessments, completing courses, shipping projects.

Honest by design

  • The Career Profile Score carries a transparent disclaimer: skills from your resume are self-reported unless marked verified.
  • XP cannot be bought or faked — every point maps to a logged platform action.
  • Verified skills show a clear verified mark on your public profile; self-reported skills are visibly unverified.

Deep dives

Each layer has its own page: Career Profile Score, XP, Badges & verification — and What employers see shows how it all appears from the other side.
