XP is the layer that cannot be faked. Every real action on the platform earns a fixed amount, logged to your account. There is no cap.

The 6-month rolling window
Your headline XP reflects the last six months of activity. This keeps the number honest: it measures who you are now, not a total accumulated years ago. Someone actively learning this quarter outranks someone who was active two years ago — which is exactly what an employer wants to know.
Peer rank and growth velocity
- Peer rank — your XP compared to your benchmark group (e.g. "top 12% of 2025 CS grads on the platform").
- Growth velocity — XP earned in the last 30 days. Shown on your public card as a signal that you're an active learner right now.
Free vs paid
On the free plan you can see your XP and badges, and coach sessions are limited. On paid plans every platform action counts toward XP, including premium courses and full coach-session tracking — see Plans & billing.
