How it's calculated
When your resume is parsed and you confirm the extracted profile, the scoring engine evaluates it across career dimensions such as experience depth, education, skill breadth, and demonstrated progression. The result is a single 0–1000 score with a per-dimension breakdown you can inspect on your dashboard.
- User-type-aware benchmarks — students, freshers, professionals, and career changers are each scored against their own group. A strong student profile scores high as a student profile.
- Recalculates on update — edit your experience, add education, or upload a newer resume and the score refreshes.
- Transparent disclaimer — the score is based on your stated profile; skills count as self-reported until verified.
Improving your score
- Complete every profile section — empty sections score as absent, not neutral.
- Quantify experience: outcomes and scope ("led a team of 4", "reduced load time 40%") score better than duty lists.
- Verify your top skills — verified badges strengthen the skill dimension and your public card.
- Ask Vanilla — the coach can read your score breakdown and point at the weakest dimension.
