Badges — skills, proven
Badges are specific, earned credentials. A verified skill on your profile means you demonstrated it — not just typed it into a resume.
Types of badges

Verified vs self-reported skills
On your public profile, the two are never mixed:
- Verified skills carry a visible verified mark — earned through an assessment or badge.
- Self-reported skills (from your resume) are shown as unverified until you prove them.
This split is the core of the trust model: employers can filter for what's proven, and you get full credit for it.
Taking a skill assessment
Open a skill on your profile and choose Verify this skill. Assessments are timed and randomized. Passing earns the badge plus 500 XP. If you don't pass, there's a cooldown before you can retry — use the linked course material in between.
Badges compound
Each verified skill also strengthens your Career Profile Score skill dimension and improves your role-fit matching, since matching runs against verified skills first.
